you are a donor, a volunteer, or community partner, our commitment to
conduct business honestly and protect your privacy is at the heart of
our Promise.
We respect your confidentiality.
United Way of Greater Duluth’s code of ethics guides employees and
volunteers in their use of private, confidential information and requires
that it be held in strict confidence. We use your information only for
its intended business purpose - we do not sell or trade your information
with other organizations.

United Way of Greater Duluth employs policies, procedures, and technology
to protect the security and confidentiality of your personal information.
Access to confidential information is limited to those who need it to
perform their jobs. We have physical security in our building, restrict
access and require passwords to protect our databases, and maintain virus
detection software.
We allow access to your information to auditors and other third parties
only as mandated by regulatory requirements. The only other outside party
privy to your information, limited only to name and address, is the ultimate
recipient of any funds contributed by you via the donor choice program
in order to allow the recipient agency to thank you for your gift. We
ask if we may publish your name when you make a contribution.
Our privacy promise extends online to our Internet website.We reserve
the right to contact you after you have contacted us and may send future
e-mail and/or surveys to you about United Way. You may notify us via e-mail
if you wish to discontinue electronic communication. We deliver on our
