Imagination
Library is offered by United Way of Greater Duluth's Success
By 6 Initiative and the Dollywood Foundation.
Children
from birth to their fifth birthday can be enrolled in
the program as long as their parent/guardian lives
in the eligible service area. After registering
(the first book takes about eight to ten weeks to arrive
at your home) the child will receive a new, age-appropriate,
hard cover book sent to them at their home each month
until their fifth birthday. The program is offered to
families at no cost.
Now
Offered in Lake & Cook County!
Currently,
Imagination Library is available to all children under
the age of 5 who live in the Greater Duluth area (defined
as zip codes 55802 thru 55812) and now to all children
who live in Lake or Cook County!
The
Imagination Library program in Greater Duluth is made
possible through the support of a community-wide coalition
of business, health care, nonprofit, government and literacy
professionals to ensure that the neediest of the needy
children have access to books.
All
families in Greater Duluth with children under the age
of five will be eligible to enroll in the program; however,
through strategic community partners and an intentional
outreach and marketing plan, at-risk families will be
a focus of the effort.
